JD; In the earlier thread, they talked of using these plows to plow under silt and sand left after a flood. I was wondering if you knew what they did in Western Iowa along the Missouri River where that indeed happened a few years ago. Some farmers reported as much as five foot of silt/sand over areas of their river bottom land. What did they do???? gobble

All I have seen here in Iowa is either hauling the sand off with trucks and loaders or pushing windrows of it with crawler dozers.

I have net heard of or seen any sand plowed under here in Iowa.

If they tried to plow that deep in my part of the country there wood be more rocks than in a rock quarry.

West of Columbia, Missouri where the interstate crosses the river was the most beautiful valleys anywhere. I came thru thar when the flood waters were up to the bottom of the bill boards along side of the road. Now it looks like a waste land, sand everywhere and washouts, scrub brush every where.
Up in Iowa where highway 2 crosses the river from Nebraska City, same old ugly mess, what a shame.

if you google "deep plowing Huntington Beach CA"' you will get a thread from YT of a little over a year ago about it.
