A widow lady has an Oliver 1800 diesel that she asked me to try to sell for her. The SN is 120 324 886, Manf in 1962. The tractor has been well maintained and still has original paint. Can someone that is Oliver orientated give me some idea of a fair asking price. It has almost new rear tires. Thanks for any help.

Have you looked at tractor house dot com? You might be able to get an idea of the range of prices that others are selling similar tractors for.

Was at an auction this last fall where they had quite a few Oliver's, and the 1800 with good rubber, fair cab and loader, brought $3000. The the 1800 with no cab and loader brought $2800, and a couple of 1850s brought in the mid $3000 range. Paint was average to above average on all with good tin work.
Tom I know you mean well and I hear that comment ever day. Looking it TRACTOR house will actually tell you what some others are ASKING for similar tractors. No correlation to what the units sold for. Takes auction results or published tractor data to find the real sold prices then you still do not know about the private sales. Folks walk in wanting a new tractor and first thing they do is pull out tractor house and show what their tractor is worth on trade IN their opinion. We have to show them the real figures and sometimes their is more difference than they are willing to accept.
