Transmission fluid

Trying to straten up things I found several bottles in various places of Dexron III fluid. Do not remember what it was bought for if I still have that vehical. Would it work for any of these 1998 Buick, 1998 Plymouth Voyager, 2000 Dodge Dacota or 2006 Dodge Caravan?

I think only the Buick.

Use only Mopar ATF in the Dodges. Dodge tranny's have a bad rap some of it may be legit but a lot of it was from the wrong fluid and the wrong level being used. You really have to read the manual close on the Dodges as some you check in park and others in neutral ! Makes a big difference !

The Dodges need ATF +4 fluid. You can use the dextron III in them if you use an additive such as lubegard platinum or black bottle additive. Smart blend is another brand that makes the same type of supplements. The Buick would probably use the DEXIII, but to be safe, the same supplements would be a good bet.

It can be used to top off trans fluid in the Chrysler products, perfect for the Buick, or power steering for any of them. Can be put in fuel tank of a diesel, would survive in a gasser too. Some people think its good to put in crankcase before an oil change to help clean residue and buildup.

Also can be used as a general lubricant or mild solvent, or mix it 50/50 with Acetone for one of the best penetrate oils you will find, put in a spray bottle for easy use.

I too had the same problem. Old ATF, no longer have the cars and trucks.

So in the winter when the bar oil is too thick, I add a little ATF, thins oil so it goes through the saw.

Evidently bought back when I had 85, 94 & 96 Olds Ceira cars that I drove on paper route and 74 Chevy pickup. And I have no deisel or chain saw.
