The ones that came with the kit are too short, need a source as to get longer ones. Help.

Thanks.

Don't know what your working on ? But JD sells the rivets for the old 2 cyl. separately. I don't know it their parts website would list the size of them or not ?

Some of the old True Value stores that have been in business a long time might have them. When my neighbor restored a couple Model T Fords, he went to an old True Valu store several times for different rivets and bolts.

Simply do a search for brake rivets and take your choice. Dad and I used to do a lot of relining on the bands for the older cranes. We bought from several places, like Valley, Hanson, etc.

The main thing is to get them made from the right material and the right length. The lengths are given in 16th's. In other words a rivet with a length of 16 is 1 inch long. I assume you'll need the semi-tubular rivets as that's what most brake shoes take. In that case get the rivet approximately 1/16 to 1/8 longer than the measurement through the shoe and lining, or in your case just a touch over what you've already got.
