I have a problem with a TO20 that I am having issues with.
Plowed the driveway and parked the tractor in the pole barn.
Went out the next day to plow again and will not start.
You know the process change everything you think is wrong and hope to get lucky. Ha Ha Right !
Well have done this and not had any luck at this time.
I tried a couple of suggestions on this site but no luck yet.
Trouble shoot for spark and there is none.
Any suggestions on next step.
Any help will be greatly appreciated considering the foot of snow I need to plow from this awesome weather.
Thanks,

NEVER change part before you do that trouble shooting or you add to the problem not fix it.
#1 you check for spark. You need a good blue/white spark that jumps a 1/4 inch gap or more. No spark check the points and make sure you have a spark at the point when you open and close them by hand. No spark clean the points and check again. Also make sure you have power to the coil since no power means no spark. No power try a hot wire from the battery to the coil ignition side and see if you have spark.

Thank you ,
will have to check the correct wiring for the coil
one lead to the distributor and the other to ground.
seem to be getting different versions of the wiring
for this
thanks again,

Well when I find no spark I ask where does that come from, head
that direction and then so on and so on, Not trying to be silly
here. I sometimes talk to myself and it could be hours to find out
whats wrong, I do pride myself on looking 3-4 times before I ask
for help.

Well,,if you have a dc voltmeter check the voltage.
Find the coil wire that does NOT go to the
distributor. Measure from there to frame ground.
Whatever. System you have 6 or 12 positive or
negative ground you should have voltage between
these two points. I would suspect the keyswitch, but
you need to troubleshoot.

Coil one lead to the distributor which is where it gets its ground and the other lead to the ignition side. If you ground the coil one you have not power to it so NO spark
