For me is was dad going from a john deere 55EB with a 3 row corn head to a 7700 with mud hog 6 row corn head

6 row plate planter to a 12 row 7000 max merge still pulled it with a 4020 with M&W turbo and dualed up

4-150 White as our main tillage from 4010s and 4020s, all open station to the white with AC , radio and dust free, never knew farming could be so fun

I thought I really made it when I went from a Massey 410 fireball to a JD 6600 believe it or not. At least I had A/C and could barely talk on my phone inside the cab.

When my son bought a used 6 row no-till Kinze with all the gadgets. Then got a 10 in auger with a swing away hopper. I can change bins alone. Vic

I had a customer years ago that had a Farmall cub that his Dad had bought new. He said when the tractor was bought they were still doing everything one row at a time. The new tractor let them do three rows at a time. He said it was like being in heaven...........

When we got a 1086 with cab and air. What a Cadillac compared to the 856 with a crock pot cab on it. Also, when we stepped up to the 65 Ford grain truck from an early 50's Chevy. I felt like I had spare time on my hands since you didn't have to hold it in every gear so it wouldn't jump out. And the fact that it would run 70 miles an hour. You could actually cool down on the way back from the elevator.

My Grandma used to tell about her Dad when the government began telling folks they needed an outhouse. She said he finally broke down and built one, like the government man wanted him to. From there she said he's head out to do his business every morning, and walk right by the outhouse and into the woods, just as he had always done. His thoughts on the matter, "They can make me build it, but they can't make me sh.. in it..."

Having used outdoor, outhouse, and indoor, I just can't understand the thinking as anything inside is so much better than the woods....

When I went from a JD 45 to a JD 95 combine.I am still smileing! And when I got the 1256 was a big jump from a 706.But the biggest difference maker of my life is my shop.Never had one before,a dream come true.....

I started farming with an IH 58 6 row planter. Used it for 15 years and then bought a Deere 7000 6 row. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
