Check this rig out!

Never fly around here ... Roadsides are so well sculpted that tractor operator has his hands full with just one cutting unit. Typically a side mounted "brush-hog" type unit, not on free arm.

Noted they were using it in late December to knock back some of the arm sized brush along the roadsides, still parked down the road a piece. Wish they'd get it inside for the winter.

O COME ON!!!!! Wow what a crazy lookig rig. Never work over here cause you need nice neat grades and slopes to use that one. Still very neat though.

Great where land is perfectly level and ditches were laid out with a laser. Probably not so much in the real world here- like to see that guy cope with a bend in the road.

False Advertising! That thing is only a QUAD-rapus; Put 4 more arms on the other side & it will be an OCTO-pus. Then he can mow both ditches at the same time. LOL

Still a neat machine though.

:>)

I have never seen a ditch cleaned out like that by the state or local guys. We don't put that kind of money into maintenance here. We just replace things more often.

I have operated a 5 ft rotary head mower with a telescoping 27 ft boom that you could reach out in fron of the tractor and mow.
I don't think I would want to operate that piece of equipment with all those booms.

Finally...a tractor for the kids raised on video games. They'll feel right at home with all those joysticks. Me...I'd have that thing twisted up like a pretzel in no time. Very cool tho.

I run a 4 ft. boom mower (Diamond brand)on a New Holland 6050. Use it to cut tree branches back away from the roadways and tree branches hanging down over the road. Will cut any tree off 4" in diameter.

That guy , is truly multitasking, I can't watch more than two things at once. I finally spotted the oil resivour at the last of the movie, I was wondering how big it had to be. I figger there was more than one pump, robbing horses.

those aren't ditches, those are drunk traps. One tiny mistake & the roads are safe from you.

This is reclaimed land, below sea level. Ditches have been straight and level long before lasers were available. Proper maintenance of ditches is a key factor in water management.

That looks like a lot to keep track of, especially at speed. Hopefully there is some float in the linkages or a float position in the hydraulics.
