Not while I'm pumping, ever.
But I have had the price on the pump be less than the sign and on another occasion be higher than the sign.
"they just hadn't gotten it changed earlier"

All the gas signs around here are digital. The station managers wouldn't like all the exercise changing prices constantly. We were as low as $1.58, then jumped to $1.99, now back to $1.89.

And now we have a former exec of Shell oil saying $5 gas is coming. They drop the price so people start planning and paying non-refundable deposits for vacations. Then the big oil companies jump the price again. This is not the first time either.

That reminds me of a joke

A man goes to the station for gas. As he's pumping the station manager comes out and changes the sign. The man get upset," Your not going to cheat me, I'm paying the old price" he shouts. The manager looks down from the ladder and says "have it your way, the price just dropped"

Just paid 1.88 tonight. I have not seen a sign like that in a few years. Since the up runuup in price they all switched to digital.

Back in 2005 while I was filling up it went up a few cents. The sign was not correct, but the pump had the correct price.

A week ago when I hauled cattle,it was as low as $1.64 in Alma. Today it was back up around $1.94. I paid $1.89 here in town. One station in town has an electronic sign. I went up to the body shop last Friday,a mile north. It was $1.99 when I went,$1.89 when I came home.

Back when i hauled gas , some of the customers would watch to see what the market did and then they knew whether to have me pick it up before or after midnight. Sometimes had to come in late then run till it was all delivered the next am.

Lowest price I have seen in my area was 2.19, but Penna now has the highest gas tax in the nation.
I read an article today where a former Shell Oil executive said to expect 5.00 a gallon gas.

It'll be because many wells are being capped,drillers are now going broke and the banks that lent money to drillers are taking loses big time they won't be so quick to jump in next go around.

Love buying Gas in NJ. Usually like 20cents
cheaper than NY and it is the only state I have
been in that has mandated full service.

That said Clear Lake Iowa had gas at $1.77 today.
