Jdemaris...about that Tracker..

Jdemaris,

It's quite a ways from Minnesota, but with your time estimate and hauling schedules, perhaps there's a way?

Anyways, going to give my brother a shout as well, he's got three of four laying around, but piles of rust on them. I know, I welded up the floors and door hinges at least twice.

Again, they are tough to find.

There are a lot of them here in Central Ohio, I have been converting "Good Ones" (no rust) into Street Gators...

Tim S,

My brother and I think they are twice the utility vehicle at one-eighth the price.

Nice job on the worthwhile alteration.

Neat! I am thinking about getting a 4 door and converting my old 2 door to something like that. I might just put a flatbed on mine and close off the cab. We have a few for sale out this way, haven't seen many rusted out. Biggest problem I have had is the tailpipe only lasts about 3 or 4 years....

Yes I make a cab back out of 14 gauge metal and have a window put in it, then I make a dump bed for them robbing oil pressure from the power steering pump

Why not just buy a small 4WD pickup,I have a 92 Sonoma and a 89 Isuzu pickup I use around the far as basically utility vehicles. The Isuzu especially will go anywhere.

Traditional Farmer,

I am unsure of your locale, however, you'd be hard pressed to find any 89-92 4wd truck that isn't rusted beyond reason where I am at.

If there was such a bird, it'd be scooped up in a heartbeat.

The tracker/sidekick is about half the weight of those...and a nice short wheelbase. It would be about as close to a gator or side x side that you could get...and a lot cheaper. The mini trucks might be a little smaller, but they are expensive for what you get.

I made a half dozen, got one left,, started out just one for me to play with, and take to shows, I put one on the semi with the toys for a ride to the hotel and such..They are fun,,and kinda cute..I call them "Street Gators", they are part of my over active imagination...
