Looks like I'll have a project for tomorrow after all.

Took it to the dealer for repair since I didn't feel like doing it in the -10° weather. Whopper bill, but it's fixed.

A Freightliner I used to drive for a guy had a caved in passenger door caused by the mirror hitting a door. I got it back fairly straight with a porta power but it always whistled in the wind.

Looks like you got off easy. One of our company trucks(Ford F800) got hit in the mirror by the extended mirror on one of those manufactured home haulers. That one took a whole new door to fix.

So you don't know what they did? I was interested because I thought part availability could be an issue, and that repairing the pipe might be a possibility.

Jon,
I guess that I shouldn't have asked if you were surounded by idiots when we talked on the phone. HeHe. Speak of the devil and he appears. Worst part is; that you will have to look at the damage 10,000 times before you get home, and mutter a few words of disscust. You better call the wifey and tell here you are coming home in a bad mood.

I was sitting waiting to get loaded one day. A truck backed in next to me and collapsed my mirror on my 09 volvo. It's made to collapse without causing damage. Just pushed it out. All was good...

I do know, they replaced the leaking pipe. The high cost came because they removed the turbo to get to it. $80.00 for the pipe, $1500.00 to do the job. I was too po'd after to talk about it. Lol

I was once behind a Werner truck on the Interstate. This guy was all over both driving lanes. When I finally saw a chance to shoot past him, I glanced up and noticed he had a laptop propped on the steering wheel.

Another time I was driving down a four lane city street with a 45 mph speed limit. A Werner truck blew past me like I was standing still, and then proceeded to weave back and forth across both lanes with nary a use of turn signals.

Still another time I was on a four lane behind a Werner truck. We were approaching a scale where trucks entered from the left lane. The truck hit the left lane and began to slow to enter the scale. I began to ease past him in the right lane. When the driver saw the scales were closed, he swapped back right into me in the right lane and ran me clear off into the ditch. Fortunately, the ditch was wide and clear.

And a sign on the back of their trailers proclaims, "We Only Hire Safe And Courteous Drivers". Yeah, right.
