Bucks vs Ducks

Game just over. I was for the Ducks (being a Pac 12 guy)- Ohio State deserved the win, they were the best team out there tonight. But scoring the touchdown with less than a minute to go, and ahead by 15, showed a distinctive lack of class. You may be a great coach, there, Urban, but you're still a jerk.

What do you expect them to do, down the ball out and give up with enough time left to possibly tie the game (yes it has happened before with less time)? Its not like they charged down the field for points. Loss of downs put them in the red zone, they needed to keep marching forward to at least run the clock down, only problem was the endzone was in the way.

IMO 17 is the magic number for lead, a 17+ point lead is the comfort zone for a sure win with that time frame or anywhere close, but the chances of losing the lead at 15 are very small.

Seems I remember the Ducks running up the score on Florida a while back....

I'm not a Ohio fan, but my wife is a Spartan alumni and fanatic...so we rooted for the Big 10! Only two teams to beat MSU played for the championship, so I guess we are #3

There was nothing else they could do. Wasn't anything like what the Ducks did against FSU. Didn't see the Ducks say we have enough points, you play with the ball awhile against FSU. The Bucks just played with more class and out played the Ducks. The Bucks had more power and I believe the Ducks had more penalties.

The Bucks of course and we won a tough one. It was closer than the final score indicates.

Oregon, a great season. You are a class act and I am sure you will be back in the hunt next year.

Mike, I understand why you feel that way, but I have to agree with 4Play---Ohio didn't have any better choices than to run the ball. To lay down, or to pull some clock-eating razzle-dazzle behind the line of scrimmage would have been an insult to a very worthy opponent. Also, I can't fault them for letting their guy Elliot add to his record-breaking performance.

I'm talking about the last touchdown, with less than a minute left- It was 2nd down, I think, and most teams would have taken a knee or two at that point.

That FCS game Saturday was an instant classic, that division of football has a true champion every year. Very exciting game to watch! And I am a KSU fan, but I love FCS football.

If anything, I would take that last touchdown as a sign of true respect for the Ducks abilities. The Ducks were still playing to win. In one or two good plays the Ducks could easily have pushed that game into overtime and then gone on to win the game. A two touchdown lead was the best way to prevent that.

Coaches also play to the sports press. When an underdog wins by just one score there is often debate that they didn't deserve to win or just got lucky. A two score win is more decisive when playing for a conference title or a national title.

I though both teams played extremely well, making lots or "miracle" plays look easy.

I graduated from Michigan State and root for both MI teams. After that, I root for the Big Ten. Was happy to see Ohio State win convincingly and see the conference do well in the Bowls. Tired of the SEC hype.

I LIKE Roast Duck...!!!

"Bucks Roast Ducks" as it turned out..!!

The commentators were so solemn as they were so pro-"O"...!!!

"0-H-I-O"...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike, I think during the regular season Oregon only twice they score under 40 points. One game they score over 60 points against South Dakota

Born and raised in the Columbus area, graduate of OSU's Ag Tech. Institute so, yes, I'm a Buckeye.

Urban Meyer teams don't let up, foot on the gas until the final gun sounds. I work with a guy who went to Florida U. when Urban was there, and worked in Gainesville for many years and he said that's the Coach Meyer way. It's not about class, it's about not giving your opponent any chance to win and it's about rewarding your guys with additional yards and TDs for their personal records. The old way we had here at OSU of giving up and going soft when you get ahead is gone. I like this way better.

Maybe now a few Cornhusker fans might consider the Big10 conference worthy of their participation ... doubtful, LOL.

Don't see where any one mentioned "what's the best weapon for hunting ducks-- a 12 ga. -- Cardale Jones' number is 12.

I could see it running through his mind in The post game interview. Kinda like when Kenny dies.
Hey you beat alabama!!
YOU B***TURDS!!!!!!!!!!
ESPN obviously couldn't find a way to cancel a championship game due to the SEC not being in it.
