I used to live in Romeoville, IL that is just north of Joliet, IL, and supposedly got its name from Romeo and Juliet (Louis Jolliet). True.

local girl O/D'ed on pills. 23 years old. Her boyfriend (25 y/o) did the same thing this past February... She was apparently asking the brother of the boyfriend about what pills he took when he died 3 days before this happened...

Didn't want to exploit these people, but, knowing that the 25 y/o boy is still in the funeral home in a plastic bag in a cardboard box, because the family can't pay for the cremation, let alone funeral costs; is getting to be a lot more common. Having a healthy, 23 year old, pretty girl die in the same way just months later? What else do you call it?

Sorry. It is bugging me that this stuff is happening.

John, nothing new. This one for you hit close to home for you. Been going on sense time and happens a lot more often than we would like to admit. Heck, a rock singer suck started a shotgun years ago now. There was a rash of suicides world wide cause he did it.

You are right. I volunteer at a local cemetery, marking graves, sometimes running a tractor, or a hickory stick when needed. I can't believe the number of young, appaerently healthy, kids who get laid in the ground over the past few years. The numbers are increasing. Some of the ones that bother me are when the family requests a private burial, or blatantly says, funeral by invitation only.

That means they know who their kids are getting the drugs from and don't want to cause a scene. It can't bother you, when you are working, but it does, every time. Had to turn back from national farm machinery show last year for another overdose burial. They don't realize how many people they are hurting, and I don't mean me.

Thanks for letting me vent.
