Stock tank water heater

Someone was asking about a way to keep stock tanks from freezing when elec is not available. For some reason the info did not show up.

I have a wood burning tank heater. I's basically a 16" steel pipe with enough iron on the bottom so it won't float.

A person could also rig up a heater of some sort with a propane tank I'd think. Not a stock tank but one of my Ritchie waterers used to have a 300 gallon tank sitting next to it. Worked good until I ran electric to it, wasn't practical to get to to fill, smaller tanks could be used to load up and fill somewhere.
