9N Generator (test)

Im NOT sure if that's a Class A or a Class B CHARGING system as most Fords were Class B EXCEPT the early ones like 8N I believe but not sure about 2 or 9.

If its a Class A charging system, heres how to Troubleshoot it.

Here's what I do ,If a generator isn't working ,to see why I temporally touck the Gen. field to ground. If the charge rate jumps youhave a bad regulator or field resistor,

not on a B circuit generator, Some Fords are A circuit like Farmalls /JD some are B circuit like many fords. Jim

On a 9N, he doesn't need to worry about "A" or"B", since he will NOT have a Field terminal. ARM & GND only!
