Was thinking would be getting in the need for propane for my tractor shop as it was down to 30%!!! Called my local supplier as last had heard it was around the $1.45 mark, they quoted me $1.13 delivered, can't remember last time bought propane that cheap!! Last February it got to $5.00, luckily didn't need any then and month later it was $1.90!!! This fill (500 gal) should last me till spring,,,,hopefully!!!!!!!!

I think my lp contract is about 1.60, last year it was a little less and worked good when the price was about 5 bucks.

I surely will trade propane bills with you. I use it for heat here in northeast Pa. The last I had delivered on Dec.16,2014 it was $2.499 a gal. If you pay within 10 days you get 30 cents a gal off. Also there is a $7.95 compliance charge on each delivery. I'm not real happy.

I'm glad someone appreciates.

I'm getting really tired of tour buses and convoy's of vitriolic people who hurl insults and death wishes... People shoving cellphone cams or camcorders in your face and call you a murderer for profit... youtube videos that prove people are stalking farms...

Be glad Josh Fox and Yoko Ono have never paid your township a visit.

I wish you could see all the trains leaving every day from the fractionation plant. Sure there are some environmental concerns. It's an industry. Every industry has those. I wish you could see all the jobs and all the nice cars, and all the new roofs on the barns and sheds, and all the new fence, and all the new tractors and better roads in the small townships.

The upside to this development is the money coming to the farmers and townships, and they are spending the money and passing the wealth around. Then, the rest of the country gets to enjoy the low prices of propane and gasoline that is a direct result of the Marcellus shale gas region. I think pretty soon, the Marcellus shale region will produce more than all of Russia. The USA has been the largest producer of oil since 2010.

John, Pa. we must live pretty close to one another. I really love having the natural gas drilling in our area. I drove truck and made good money off of it for a few years. I only wish I lived where I could hook up to it .

Amen john . I however live in New York , less than
200 yards from the bradford county line . our
genius governor banned fracking while standing in a
building heated by naturally gas . I am in
construction and have been involved in many gas
projects . Every contractor in our area also. Not
too mention the companies who set up shop in our
state because there is so much gas here. I have
close friends who have wells on them , drink thier
water , milk , eat their produce no problem . I
suppose I am a little bitter to be sitting on 165
acres and not be able to lease .

I'm actually in the Southwestern part of the Marcellus play. We are getting a lot of fracktivists that originated in your part of the state who are now getting some big activism money to preach gloom and doom, town by town. Funny thing is, the gas companies don't care. They are pulling billions out of the ground. It's the land owners who are getting the short end of the stick and being vilified.

I would be bitter too! I have heard that it is not unreasonable to expect $400-450 per acre, per month, in royalty payments. 165 acres would be a very nice check in the mail every month...

The NY ban really goes to show just how gullible and misinformed the general public is, and just how easy it is for people to be swayed. It really doesn't make sense.

I have no issue with common sense debate , but when
activists speak out then return home , crank up the
thermostat , take a hot shower and cook dinner using
natural gas like the vast majority of city dwellers
that seems hypocritical. Now they are building gas
fired power plants , which burn cleaner and cheaper
, all for our urban friends .

where are you at massey? I'm near Kearney Mo, I paid 189.9 last July and last Wednesday I was quoted 180.9

Around Lincoln NE. I priced it yesterday and was quoted 1.09 now and .89 prepaid for summer delivery.

Got a fill up last month (Dec.) 319.9/gal. plus over$7.00 fuel recovery charge (del. fee for diesel fuel) and 11.00 hazmat fee. 24 gal was 99and change, called them up and got the price per gal reduced to 2.399. I don't use much, only back-up heat in the shop, but I will be changing suppliers once I use it up. Our local company (who I used to work for) has been bought up several times, most recently by Amerigas. They have got to be one of the biggest rip off propane companys going.

Amerigas bought out a mom n pop operation here (the I used)and continued to increase prices so I changed to Ferrell. Last year when we had the so-called shortage Amerigas said they would not take any new customers. Now they are gone - phone number is disconnected.

Northeastern Nebraska!! Had called last August about contracting some as had heard it was going to be high priced because they expected a lot of wet harvested and would need a lot of lp for drying but didn't happen, corn dried down before harvest!!!! Think they would contract it for $1.60+ then, glad decided not too!!!!
