My Chevy feed truck needs tires. I'm not putting new tires on it! It has the original (wide) rims but the tires are so old I have no idea what to look for on CL. Right now it has radials that are numbered 31-10.5-15. What sizes will fit on that rim? It never leaves the farm or goes above 35 miles an hour but I need four as I had two flats yesterday hauling bales. It's time.

I had the P265/75R15, but they are a passenger tire and do not like weight on them, didn't get much out of them. If you didn't haul anything they would be fine. Should be able to find 31's like you had on there real easy to find, probably easier than 235 mentioned. chris

The way those numbers work is the tire is 31 inches tall 10.5 inches wide on a 15 inch rim. Commonly call monster mudders in my area. I run 30-9.50/15s on my farm truck

Look around on CL, here, someone is always trying to get rid of old mud tires.

265/75r15 are considered a match for 31x10.50's. But they are a little smaller. 235/75's and 30x9.50's are close to the same size and about an inch shorter and narrower.
All 4 are still available. I wouldn't go any smaller, and stick with an LT tire. As said before P is a passenger car tire and pretty thin. And smaller.
Price between the 4 sizes won't be much different so if you end up buying new you may as well go with the biggest for the most load rating.
Look at eBay there are usually a lot listed. Just beware any that are significantly less costly than the rest. We've had good luck with Capitol brand Chinese tires at work.
