take an old cold tater and wait

I saw him in October 2010 when I fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to the Grand Ole Opry. Getting the chance to see him was one of those moments you never forget. At 89 years old(2 months from being 90) he was one of the most energetic guys on stage. He truly loved what he did.

wow, i just heard the other day he celebrated his 94th birthday. a real icon. too bad.

I believe we are truly privileged to live / have lived in the time of Webb Pierce, Loretta, Jimmy, Jimmy Dean, Carl Perkins, PLUS we can still get all the music, PLUS we have our old tractors. I don't think this could get any better, i truly don't.

Darn. I'd heard on WSM the other morning that he'd been in the hospital since Christmas.
