A Handy Tip

Over the years I have collected several DeLaval milk pails, and some milk strainers. I haven't done any dairying for years, but use them in my shop. Anytime I need to drain any fluids, fuel, gasoline, oils or coolant, I determine whether to re-use or not. If re-using, I put about 3 large coffee filter discs in the strainer, and filter it thru. This removes the tiny gritty stuff that gets into systems, and will even remove oil from coolant. If it flows too slow, replace the filters.
I bought the hardware at auctions or flea markets, I buy the new/old filters from 2nd hand stores, and also bought cook pot lids to cover the pails.

I found a dirty, ugly colored piece of porcelain tin in an upstairs ceiling when remodeling years ago, was surprised to find this under the dirt.
