I have a Yanmar YM2000 Diesel - LOVE IT!! but I
can't figure out if it has a glow plug or not -
it has the "glow plug" position on the switch!
It runs AWESOME!!
Also, how would I find out how old it is - the
number on the side says ym2000-04811
Here is a video : http://youtu.be/2D5gmgyKoYI?

I do remember seeing a glance of the front wheel and it didn't appear to be a 4X4. If it doesn't have 4X4 and power steering and buying a skidsteer is in your budget--buy a skidsteer.

Cute little tractor and handy for a lot of things I bet. But I think you would be disappointed with a loader on it. I'm thinking any man with gumption and a shovel would out-perform it. I hate skid steers but they do have their place.

I'd take a skid steer anyday over a small tractor/loader.Get the biggest skid steer you can afford.I have a Bobcat S300 & wouldn't want anything smaller.

Get both if you can afford them. A skid steer handy for anything since they can turn basically on the spot and are 4 wheel drive. If you have a barn or other building you plan on using it in, be sure it fits. The Case 1816B I use is big enough for most tasks yet is small enough to fit down the narrow isle, and turn into the side pens in the barn. There is also a loader on the tractor here for larger things (such as round bales or full pallets). Tractor loaders are nice if you have heavier things that would tip the skid steer or if have to move things farther since tractors generally can go faster.

After watching the video and seeing a loader on your other tractor if it were me I would buy a skid steer in a heart beat! I have a loader on my 1550 Oliver and 99% of the time its not used, If I need to move or load something I will get the Gehl 4400 skid steer and use it. A loader on a tractor is great to have but once you get and use a skid steer you wont use the loader. The skid steer is more nimble than the tractor will ever think about being. BTDT ! You don't have to have a new one but a good used one will last a long time on most farms. I find I come up with more things to use a skid steer for now around the farm that I ever did with the loader on the tractor. Bandit

THanks ton .. good advice ..
My son has a skid steer .. he sold his tractor .. and has just recently got a compact 4x4 tractor NO LOADER on it .. he uses his skid steer a LOT !!!

Thanks again

Ok, I was a bit confused as you had like 3 postings with different titles but all had the same text in the post and the same video of the Yanmar.

There's a reason skidsteers are so popular--they are really handy. But there are many tractors and many skidsteers so it's hard to say w/o knowing what tractor, what skidsteer, how much they cost and what your needs are. Only thing I can say for sure is a little 2WD tractor w/o power steering like that Yanmar is going to be very poor vs any skidsteer.

So sorry with the wrong posts in the wrong place .. I didn't actually know where to put it .. and then answered some of my posts with those who changed the subject to skidsteers .. but it was my FAULT .. I should have stayed on track .. thank you . too .. for you input !!
