This is going to be fun. Discovered the tee at the bottom of my 10 section Metalbestos chimney is rotted out. Even better is the fact the installer, before I bought the place, cemented part of the tee in. And to make it better, I don't think there's going to be enough space for me to turn tee off the pipe through the wall that he also cemented in! So I'll probably have to cut the main support bracket off, which he has held on by 30d nails stuck in, you guessed it, concrete!

Gonna be an expensive bear to do but it's better than burning the house down.

Sounds like fun. At least its going to warm out. I'm
on shower detail. I gave my brother a new shower
head and apparently he twisted the pipe off in the
wall while trying to change it. Now somehow its
become my problem. Oh and I've got a hay truck
coming at some point. Monday got to love it!

Brendon you have helped me out with parts on 2 occasions. What's that old saying about "no good deed?"lol He will need a shower before Christmas so get er done.

Shower repaired, hay truck cancelled until Friday
but I've got a different one coming tomorrow. I've
got a big hammerdrill if you need it Brett.

Show them your badge, Bret, and order them to come out or you will shoot them with your air drill.
I have a big hammer drill and if I can find it you can borrow it. I mean "big". Not one of those little toy things. Post if you need it and I will bring it to you.

My dad had one twist off once. I was able to use a large easy-out to get the shower head pipe out of the wall pipe.

I did have to grind the tip of the easy-out shorter as it would bottom out on the 90* elbow before it got traction.

Dad said it would not work, but it did!

Just replaced the ABS controller and pump unit in my '00 Expedition. Struggled mightily to get the old one out as there was lots of rust and other corrosion. But got it out and the new one in (new old stock unit off of an Ebay vendor) and all hooked up and went to bleed the brakes.... now a big hole in one of the lines from the reservoir to the unit that wasn't there before. At least it will be a little easier to get the old lines out now. Probably should have replaced them when it was out before.

Picked up the tee and a section of pipe already. Got a hammer drill already too. Have to fix a couple more things before I can get into the chimney and we may have to wait till after Xmas. No sense tearing into it and finding out everyone closed at noon on the 34th or something. Gonna be warmer in couple days too. I got the extra section of pipe because I figured is worse comes to worse, I can take the sawzall to the lowest section and get the tee off. If I don't need it, Whites will gladly take it back.

Why anyone would cement the pipe in is a mystery. I don't mean a little mud. I mean this guy layered a lot of it around the pipe and tee. Kinda strange he did all that an ignored the hole in the foundation wall and he never capped the foundation either. I should have known, anything else he did to this place is screwed up, why should this be different!?!

BTW- I don't have a badge anymore, not one thats worth anything anyway. It says "RETIRED" in big bold letters.
