Late 40s early 50s GMC??

Found this garbage picking. All rusty. Sand blasted it painted it silver. Let the youngest daughter try lettering it with nail polish. Going to hang it in the shop.

Any idea on the year? It's about 10" in diameter

Backside. We're there tangs on the wheel to grab the inner lip on the hubcap??

Yes there were clips on rim to hold it on

Yes,little spring tabs held the cap to the wheel. Same way on my '66 GMC

A lot of wheels had nubs sticking out which the hubcap snapped over. I am not explaining it well.

We had a 51 GMC half ton with a 3/4 bed and 7.00 15 tires and two piece 6 hole wheels and a 3 speed transmission. I was 17 and dated a 14 year old girl. She was a good girl and I did nothing naughty. I liked her daddy's H Farmall with cut off flat spoke wheels

Hub caps looked like that
