I think it is a TO 30 FERGUSON THE 35 AND TO35 HAD
HIGH AND LOW TRANS I ONLY SEE ONE STICK. ALSO TO 2O
USED SHIFTERS TO START IT. TO 3O HAD A KEY AND 35
HAD 2 SHIFTERS

Thanks everyone. I'm just curious because I'm hoping to get an old tractor by the spring and I know nothing about them so I'm trying to get an idea of what's available and what they are worth. Do you think it might be worth the asking price? Or close? We don't have a lot of choice around here.

The to30 was also started with the gear shift from the factory. I don't believe all to35's had a hi/low, but I could be wrong. The gear shift looks different than a to30's as well.

Don't feel bad about not knowing anything about tractors, the seller obviously doesn't either.

TO30 is a decent utility tractor, and the price is OK if it runs and drives OK. Very similar to an 8N Ford. Probably late '40's to early '50's vintage, parts still available.

My dad's best friend bought a place near Hixon back in the mid '60's. About 400 acres, I think, no electricity, quite an adventure. We went up there once, from western Washington- a looooong trip in a VW bug, with miles and miles of washboard road that just pounded the puddin' out of you.

There is no oil filter housing on the right side of the block, so this is a TO-20 (oil filter inside oil pan, accessible from bottom). The seat is from a TO/MF-35.
