Well it has been a wet deer season. Rain and wind are not a fun mix for deer. Ive seen a few but no horns. Seems no one is seeing deer in the woods. Been a slow start. Tomorrow is the opening for doe and I plan to shoot one. We stayed at our cabin that has no electricity, no running water, none of the creature comforts. An old wood stove with wooden bunks and I would't want it any other way. We did have the one elbow on the stove break off and had to make a run to get a new elbow so we didn't burn the place down. We stayed there for 4 days and had a blast. Hopefully I can get a buck next week or else its late season for me, again.
 
Here in Missouri any deer season ended on Nov 25. Nov 15th to the 25 was any deer. Nov 26th was atlerless (sp) season till Dec 7th. Then on Dec 20th open alternative hunting which means hand gun and black powder etc till Dec 30th. Have yet to see a buck this year and so far missed every shot I have taken due to odd angles or brush
 
the fellow that rents our farmhouse had good luck at our farm,His grandaughter got the first deer she ever shot at 7 30,his grandson got his first deer at 1030,then his son got a buck at 2.00 He said everybody got one but the old man,,,,,but he was happy

Opened Oct 27th and runs thru Jan 4th here in Tennessee .. Pretty good so far but won,t be enough of the things killed.
 
Seen over thirty deer before 8:30 in the morning. My seven year old (Sam) was with me. We are in NE Pa. Shot a nice 8 point at 1:30. The next day my nephew was sitting in my tree stand and shot a bear at 8:15.
 

Hunt deer in PA? I thought that down there all you had to do was stand next to your truck and they ran to you, LOL.
