OT: shop heater

I have built over 60 heaters since 1977. This one turned out the best for a friends shop. It is made from a 125 gallon propane tank and we put a cooking surface on it. He has a 30 by 40 foot shop with a high ceiling in it and he has to open the doors when it is lit. Makes we want to replace my old heater in my shop.

No propane smell at all.
The only time you notice it is when you first open the tank up.
I always fill them with water and drill 3 holes in the top and use a sawsall to cut a big opening. Then I have no problem using the torch to do the rest of the cutting.

I have a customer who made one from 1/2 of a 500gal. LP tank, that room is about 80ft long and 30ft wide.
