I'm looking to widen the front end on my bn. Can anyone help me understand how to do this? Should I try to get parts from an A? Anyone know where I can find those?
Thank you

Sell the BN. Buy an A.

Thats what you do is put one off an A. How many do you want and where do you live freight could be a problem.

'Old' who posts on here has what what you describe.Put an A front on a B. Calls it a 'BA'.Or is it an 'AB'?

"You can bolt a A front right on with no modification."

Only trouble is, without mods, the tractor is gonna look awful goofy with the body and rear wheels centered and the front axle way off of center!

Yep! I saw one of those modified BNs. I wouldn't want to own it, or try to drive it.

What about the wide front off of a C?? I have 3 C's and a SC, and the front ends all easily interchange with 4 bolts... I have 2 of each...

The C's wide front end is centered, and I would think that it would be nearly the same as a A or B??

I did that with an A wide front on a C. I adjusted one side of the front end all the way in and the other all the way out. It looks and works just fine. gm

You have it back wards. I put a B front on an A transmission due to the fact the A had a fight with a tree and lost the battle and got broken into at least 4 pieces. I call it my BA since you see the B before you see the A

The A front end would fit and give you the steering on the right/correct side, but the center pivot would be offset to the right and the front end would never be able to follow in the tracks of the rear wheels.

If you set the A front to follow in the B's rear wheel tracks, the steering will be goofy. One wheel will be dragging or digging any time you go around a corner.

A C front end would fit, but you'd have a heck of a time hooking up the steering. The steering shaft enters a C bolster on the left side, but the B's steering wheel is on the right.

My son put a front end from an A on a B.
It worked out well. A way better tractor than a lopsided A.
A B is symetrical.

I used the A pedestal and manufactured a simple carrier off the torque and my front weight bracket to stabilize the steering shaft but it could be easily done w/o the weight bracket being involved.
