County crawler ploughing

I never saw anyone plow in the furrow with a crawler. Standard advice has always been to keep the crawler on the land. But as shallow as he's plowing maybe it's not an issue. Nice looking rig though.

There is a saying over here:-

Its the taking part that counts - never mind if you are doing it wrong

Bret it you look at the photos he is holding or riding the left steering clutch. Would not want to go long with the track in the furrow. Most folks set the drawbar where the crawler can run on flat ground.

Don't know how much war action there was where you are- seeing these pictures made me wonder how much stuff turns up where there was heavy fighting and bombing. Around here we find an occasional Indian arrow head, anyhow I've found a couple of them but none lately.

Nice interesting pictures. This is only the second time I've seen a crawler pull a plow.

I can tell we are in two different parts of the world though. When I read your caption my first thoughts was a county worker using a crawler to push snow like what happens here in Iowa after a heavy blizzard. This site is so neat! Jim
