Uses for F10 Farmhand cylinders??

I have a couple of F10 Farmhand loaders that I will never use. I hate to scrap them out, but that is probably what is going to happen. I was wondering if anyone here can come up with a good use for the cylinders?

Maybe could used as openers for BIG overhead doors? Just a thought I guess, but if they were mine, they would not go on the scrap pile.

Yea it's really hard for most of us on here to scrap stuff like that. We would rather find a good home or use for them. But sometimes enough is enough and the piles get out of hand.

I can almost bet that not long after you would scrap them a use for them would arise ! Better odds than a lotto ticket too.

You could go in to business making split rail fences if you made a splitter out of them. They'd split a pretty long log.

Keep the ideas coming...kinda like the gate post...maybe a hydraulic opening gate (vertical)?? I like the flagpole too.

If you do end up scrapping them out, Pull the cylinders apart and take the leather cups out of them. They are impossible to find!

Perhaps pneumatically operated door lifters? Most shops have a compressor?

Hyd lift in a shop for working on a machine. Hyd gate opener. But to tell the truth I have a pair of 3 stage hyd cylinder that extend 8 foot or so and have yet to figure out what to do with them but I'll never scrap them

Actually, looking at the pictures again, they appear to be in excellent condition. I might advertise them in the paper or Craig's list. Somebody might be looking for one. I see they were still making them a few years back.

I wouldn't mind saving the one pictured if I could find a material bucket for it. The one shown is all bent up and not good for anything.

Actually they would make a good fence rail splitter
if he has some good Black Locust or Red Cedar.

Eldon, when you figure out a solution post it my BIL has five of them in the iron pile, looking for a home. I still have a F10D mounted on a "M" with duals. I have one spare cylinder.
