Skidioader parts price

I have lx565 new holland skidsteer. The throttle cable broke this morning while feeding round bales. Called locale dealer $88.50 for 82 1/2 long cable. Seems a little high but what can you do when you use skid steer every day.

CNH has gone overboard on parts. Little paddle like bolt on a 255 rake-tedder runs $47- I made a few in the shop from new bolts for less than $2 a copy. And the bearings for the tine pitch are over $30 now. Their parts just ain't very competative.....

That, to me, does not seem all that expensive for that cable. How long did the first one last? Does it have factory terminations on each end, ready to install?
I am probably just used to things being 'high'. Every brand will eventually surprise any of us with an out of reason parts price though. What I worry about more is seeing 'No Longer Available' when you look it up.

After you're done installing it you'll do more cursing about that than you will about the price...
You would be well advised to buy the ball/socket for the lever end of the cable as well because it probably won't come off.
Good luck removing the left fender if you haven't had that loose recently.
