OT--Step Ladder

I got ready to use my 30 year old 6' step ladder and finally decided it was no longer safe.
Went to computer to check prices and discovered Homo Depot had lowered there regular price from $59.00 to $39.000 for one of there aluminum ladders.
Since I no longer shop with HD , I went to Lowers and they matched HD price plus 10% off.
I just went ahead and bought three, one for each of my sons.
Not the first time Lowes has done this.
Just saying, do some searching before buying. Only took a few minutes and it saved me over $20.

Was tooling down the highway this summer and a pickup passed me. As he pulled back in front of me the new six foot step ladder he had sticking out over the tailgate was sucked out by the wind. Had to brake pretty hard to keep from running over it. He never knew he lost it. What a surprise when he got home and told his wife, honey come look at my new stepladder. Put a ad in the paper and no response.

Take all of them back and go buy the original little giant ladders ! Expensive but worth it.
I bought one a few years aback and it really is as advertised.

I have had one for years. It is too heavy for little wife to handle.

About the same thing happened to me.I was on a long steep hill doing 40-45 MPH when a guy in a pickup came up behind me.He must have been in a big hurry,he had to slow down from 55 or so.When he got the chance he passed me at full throttle.Two fiberglass step ladders in the bed.A slight curve up ahead and he was gone from view.I heard a heck of a clatter and as I rounded the curve I saw one of the ladders skidding up the hill.He continued on for nearly a 1/4 mile before stopping.He was doing some serious cursing as I went by.
