Having issues with the tach. When u start it the battery light flashes an the tach doesn't work until I rev it up then the light quits flashing an tach starts to work. But it's not accurate at all. Had alternator checked an said it was good. It starts fine. Could this b sign of bad battery also. Thanks

My first guess would be a vibration related bad connection or ground. Check the obvious first, ground connections under the hood, battery connections, wire harness connectors, etc. Then work your way under the dash.

By chance did you figure it out? Mine is doing the same. It is a 2004 481.

Smithers, I will give you an “A” for effort! In this new software format it tells you when a poster was last seen, well I should say within reason if they have not logged in since the new format was put in place. Just hover over his profile banner above the post and it tells you his last post was in May of 2015 which also tells you he has not logged in since the switch. Very likely he will not reply. On a phone you have to click his user name to see the info.
