On Thurs. my son and I are headed to NE for our annual MD hunting trip. First stop is Grinell, Iowa. Second stop is Brule out by Ogallala. I have seen the Corn Palace once, isn't there anything else to see? Sounds like we will hit some weather?

Pioneer museum in Minden is great, but I'm
not sure if they have seasonal hours.
North Platte rail yards are the largest in
the nation I believe. I'm not sure of much
else, I live in the northeast corner and
whenever I make it that way I'm looking at
the open country :)

The Farmall museum south side of I80 at the Avoca Iowa exit. A great collection, well presented that you will enjoy no matter what color you like.

I wish I had known about that when we visited the Redlin museum a couple years ago. I'm not an arteest, but hose paintings were awesome.

I've been there. I think four hours is a little off. I have spent all day there. But I am the type of person that, if I see something that I have never seen before, I look it over good so I understand how it works and what it was used for.

Nebraska is rich in history and museums. Strategic
air and space museum in Ashland. Stuhr museum in
grand island. Military vehicles at Lexington.
Pioneer village in Minden (as mentioned before).
The archway over the interstate at Kearney, that
tells about the making of the trail west. Even a
very nice little museum of the local prairie life
just north of Holdridge. I hope you find something
you enjoy.

View the falls in the park at Sioux Falls. Incredible collection of stuffed wildlife at Tuschen's in Humbolt.Take hiway 38 from SF to Mitchell. I am in Mitchell. Check out Cabela's?
WT's here in East River are just starting to rut.
Check your wx radar often. You might want to go south earlier (Norfolk. Right now the storm is driftin north of us.
It's 24 degrees and we are getting freezing rain right now,

We were there mid-winter....main building or office area is heated, outlying buildings are not. Still an enjoyable tour.
