Went to an auction yesterday bunch of well used tractors and equipment that had been sitting about 5 years or so.Case 1070 Agri King with very good tires 23.1X34 bought $1450 ran but with a lot of black smoke.AC 185 $1000 ran, decent tires but fairly rough.Case 1490 with loader ran said the hydraulics were weak $950 several other tractors sold in similar range I had the next to last bid on several of them but thought that was enough. These seem cheap in a way but not knowing much and know they need work I figured let them go to someone else.

Non-runners can usually be had reasonable. Plus some of those you listed are too big for the little ranchette cityiot and not big enough (or brand not desirable enough) for the real farmer even as a chore tractor.

I went to an estate auction couple weeks ago and there were 3 tractors that all sold very reasonable.

830 case diesel CK COM. 3200 hours. Not running but barn kept. Sold for $1100. I bid on this tractor but did not get it. If it had been an 8 speed instead of COM then I would have kept bidding. I simply do not think my wife could ever learn to run a COM.

Farmall Super h (kinda of a hybrid between a stage 1 and a stage 2). Serial tag was there but some of it was unreadable. Terrible cage loader on it. Tractor was very rough in some ways and had tires that we 2 sizes oversize. Did have 3 sets of cast weights on it. Sold for $950. I was highly interested in this tractor and sole reason that I even went to the sale. I was willing to go $900 on it so did not get it nor even get the chance to bid.

Ford 960 trike. Cleanest tractor there and had the best tires of the lot. Had new starter on it but someone had cobbled the solenoid wiring. Sold for $950. After it sold, I realized how stupid I was for not bidding on it at least a little. Someone will make some cash on this one.

Again, none of these ran but they were barn kept and were not stuck. The ole farmer simply got too old to care for em. I do not think it would have taken much to get any of them running. The farm had been in the family for over 200 years so I am thinking all 3 of the tractors may have been purchased new. Sadly there was no one who could provide any history on anything. Everything handled "as-is" by attorney which also hurt the values.

I went to a ranch auction last week. They sold a 1070 Case with tires that were JUNK. Hadn't run in 5 years, with a 222 Farmhand loader that was in REAL BAD shape.
I thought I could pay MAYBE $2500 and make it work. Ended up bringing $5000!! These ranchers are spending money like they will never run out.

Here it's the smalls guys dying off and the big guys with 250 HP plus MFW chore tractors that have the prices down. On CL you can find IH 1086's in good shape for as low as 8500. Just ain't worth much when no one is buying.

Sale last year when this trend started here big time.

706 Gas, good tin and paint, near new rubber ran good. 1795.

830 Case CK gasser. Only thing it could have used was some fresh paint but for a workers was good. 1700

D17 AC gasser about the same shape as the Case. New rears and a Dual all hydraulic loader 1700.

This past fall AC 220, about 200 hours on an engine an clutch. fair rubber, duals, missing cab door 2800.

You have to keep in mind that many of these tractors are now 50 years old or nearly that. Some are somewhat "collectable", but many are just too worn out to be reliable "daily drivers" to be sinking much money into them. I've found a few deals lately on newer MFWD tractors with cabs that aren't too outlandishly expensive. I've got enough "collector tractors" as it is.

Went to a sale a few weeks ago, they had a decent Massey 2705,4k hours, needed tires.Didn't know the history of the tractor, they never started it.Found out later it was a decent machine.Wasn't looking for a tractor like that, but a jockey bought it for 2k,only bid.Cheap hp.

The 1070 might have been a buy even if it needed a rebuild if you had any use for it and if the other person didn't just keep bidding.
