I have this inside the bridge of my nose, feels like I have been punched.

Had it on a leg and was in the hospital for 6 days.

I had it on my lower leg following knee surgery. It made movement very painful. They put me on a different antibiotic and it cleared up in a few days.

Lower right leg. Four days in the hospital and the next two weeks keeping it elevated.

I don't understand cellulitis. I've seen pictures in magazines of women with big fat legs where they could buy spoonges to cure their cellulitis, loofas or something they called them. A few months ago my closest neighbor's foot got so swollen that it looked like a cinder block and he lost a couple of toes, and he said it was cellulitis and nearly killed him. So as near as I can tell, if a woman gets cellulitis she can reshape herself with some sort of sponge, but if a guy gets it, it's emergency room action or die.

My understanding it is an infection in the tissue under the skin. The flesh eating bacteria is one of the worst ones.

What women worry about is cellulite. Not to be confused with cellulitis I guess.

I had it once from being sucker punched below the eye on my cheek. It didn't break skin but more than likely the Dr said bacteria that is normally found everywhere on your skin got under the skin or into a ruptured pore. A penicillin shot and prescription of antibiotics, I was good to go in 7 or so days.

Anyway he stressed the importance and urgency to take care of this immediately since it can be deadly and being around the facial area with a lot of blood vessels, bone and brain being nearby. This stuff is basically what most people would know as a staph infection. If it travels deep enough under the skin it can become what we know as flesh eating bacteria

It's nothing to mess with... my dad and mom both had it a few times on their arm or leg.

Make sure you are resting and drinking plenty of water.

Not to freak you out - but your nose is connected to sinus cavities which are close to your brain. Also close to your eyes. So take it easy and don't push yourself to do too much... rest and give yourself time to recover.

basicly it is where blood cant reach a surface and show like a bruise. It will pool or knit itself into an area of flesh and become infected. See it a lot on legs or feet do to hitting the area real hard. Hitch receiver has been a big culprit for this. hit your shin hard and there really isn't much meat to make a bruise so the blood clots deep and becomes infected. Nose could be from nose bleeds or damage to the tissue. Good luck with the meds.
