Skat Trak skid steer

This may sound dumb, but we've had this skid steer since last spring & haven't had any reason to connect anything to the aux. hydraulics. Just got to wondering, if we mounted a post hole digger to it, how would we control it. I can't seem to find anything other than maybe the hand control that doesn't seem to want to move other than forward and back controlling movement of the machine (no sideways movement). It may be that there is pressure on the quick disconnects. Just wondering what you guys with more experience think. Keith

On my Deere 320 the cable on the controls gets stiff needs to be lubed. To answer your Question, one handle or the other may have a pivot.

I'm not sure how the aux is set up on your machine. My NH has the aux on the right travel stick and it pivots up and down and there's also a pin lock on the rear of the stick to prevent it's movement when you want it locked out. There is a visible rod that goes down through the travel stick.
Other machines have the aux on a central foot pedal... and some more even have a toggle or momentary switch that controls the aux electronically. I would not rule that out on a Skat Trac... I'd also note that it is not unusual for some of these linkages to seize up when not in use. I've had the bearings on the foot pedals seize on my NH when they are in ~daily~ use...

I'll check for a pin tonight when I get home. Thanks, guys for the info. Have never been able to get a manual for the darned thing.

keith, try this link, it shows downloadable manuals for the scat track.
its possible your skidder has the aux but no control for it. we had a case 1845 b that had aux hydraulics, there was a flow control valve in the rear of the unit right where the engine cover door hinges were. you had to add the spool valve and hoses at that point.

Drove a Cat couple days ago... on/off control was a thumb wheel on the right hand (bucket) control. Donno what thid has this has to do with your machine. Manufacturers csn get pretty creative hiding controls.

Thanks Glen, I can't get on that site here at the office, but I'll sure give it a try this evening after I get loaded for the Wapoc. Swap Meet. Keith

If it is like the one my friend has there is a knob on the right hand stick you pull out or up or something like that then the lever will move side to side for the aux hyds
