I have a lot of Susan B dollars for what ever reason I kept every one I came across. I grabbed a couple and put them in my pocket to try and fool a young casher, at the local coffee mill. Joke was on me because they are gone, I must have spent them. Don't know why they made these coins that looked so much like a quarter. Stan

I don't like to carry fifty dollar bills because they look too much like twenties.

A man at out church collected them back when they first came out. He'd buy rolls of them at the bank! Not sure what he thought would come of that, but once he got a roll that had 2 blanks in it. I don't think he ever did anything with them, probably still has them.

WOW! I never need to worry about confusing twenties for fifties. Where do people get that kind of money

You american friends should try our canadian bills, they are all colour coded for the different denominations. If you are colour blind, they even have braille on the bills. john

I worked a concession booth at the fair in '76 or so, when the Suzies came out. I tried to be real careful, but still had half a dozen or so of them in the quarter drawer when I got off shift.

Didn't want the till to be off, so I changed a couple of bucks out of my pocket and replaced the Susan B's with quarters in the till. Figured it was the least I could do. LOL

When I was stationed overseas, on American bases are where the oddball currencies always ended up. $2 bills, Susan B Anthony dollars. Go to the bank and cash a paycheck and end up with a dozen crisp $2 bills each time. Should have saved those. The Susan B's? I don't know how I ended up with 4 of them in my pocket one night, but I was drunk and hungry and the candy in the vending machine in the barracks was 25 cents per item and all they had were KitKat bars that I didn't like, but I was starving before passing out. I put in a quarter that was a Susan B and it took it but the KitKat got stuck, so I put in another quater Susan B, same thing all four times. I don't remember if I ever got that KitKat, but it cost me 4 Susan B's, that much I remember. I don't think I ever saw a $2 bill or a Susan B after I came back to America. I do remember pulling into an unmanned toll booth on a toll road a couple of years ago with a toll of $4.00 and the smallest I had was a $20 bill, which it took. It spit out $16 in $1 coins, several that ended up under my truck with a long line of vehicles behind me just like the one I slowly moved up through to get to that stupid machine.

I also remember the coins over seas, which were fairly old, and most of them were silver. In the Philippines we were issued notes that looked like monopoly money. I believe they were called MPC's They spent like real money on the base. I did bring home a few of them. Stan
