Plowing stubble

I know this always comes up, but still...

... seriously ...

I can't imagine how nice that must be to plow a
field like that without a SINGLE rock!!!

That brings back memories. But, here in the last ten fifteen
years not very many guys plow anything here in western
Nebraska. Nice Photos. I will see if i can get a picture of a
fifteen (i think) bottom plow. NOW THATS neat to see roll the
land.

Neat pictures. I like the smell of
new plowed dirt. We haven't plowed
since the late 70's. Corn was pretty
good this year.

Yup, we had two farms at one time. This one has rocks about everywhere, but the other didn't have a rock on the whole farm. Sandy soil, stubble ground, 1955 pulling 5x16's at the 5.5 mph limit of the raydex moldboard, did about 99% of the soil prep. Once over with a springtooth and plant. Always wanted to get a plow with the speedex moldboards for that farm, just to see how fast I could pull them. (smile) On this farm, 2 mph is about it in a lot of places, unless you want to leave a lot of parts in the field.

Nice! Where do the gulls come from when you turn 1 round of dirt and then there's thousands of birds pecking behind ya???
