wondering if anyone ever had to change a fan belt on this tractor. there is a hydraulic pump located at the front of the tractor that is conected directly to the crank shaft via what looks to be a coupler. there are, i'm quessing about 8-10 bolts from the engine side of the fan belt pulley and 4 bolts from the hydraulic pump side of the pulley. question is how to separate the coupler so as to get a new belt on, remove 1 set, both sets or am I on the wrong track? anyone been there? thanks in advance. rocko

Just have to study it, go the easiest route to get the coupling apart.

The other solution is to get a link type belt. They can be bought through McMaster Carr. Need a width and length measurement, assemble it as needed.

There are four bolt head cutouts in the pump bearing plate to clean the dirt out off, then the bolts will move forward far enough with the drive plate to get the new belts in place past the bolt ends.

Thanks for your reply. Went out to take a look at the 1135 after I read your post. must be age dulling my wits cause I still couln't see what you were refering to. hope you could give a little more detail on what you disscussed before. thanks to the other replys also but I would perfer a continous belt if I can figure the process. thanks again rocko

There is a coupler between the vibration dampener on the front of the engine and the hydraulic pump. There are 4 bolts holding it on facing towards the rad. Loosen these four bolts but they wont come out of there holes. Use pry bar or screw driver to move this coupler toward the hydraulic pump, it slides into the pump. There are four indents in the pump that the heads of these bolts go into, they might be fills with dirt and need to be cleaned out. That should give you enough room to work the new belt in, it will be a tight fit but doable. Hope this helps

Thanks Drill. That is exactly what I needed. Will save time and efort on my part once I get the new belts I ordered. Rocko.
