rebuild hudraulic couplers

Is it possible to rebuild hydraulic couplers? Specifically, I have a couple standard Pioneer style female couplers that are leaking around the ball. While the tractor is running they will have a steady fast drip.

Im guessing it is cheaper to buy new ones than try to fix the old ones. If they were something unique then it might be worth a try.

If it's the ball leaking and the o-ring is good so it doesn't leak when something is plugged in,take a male tip,put a pipe plug in it and plug that in.

There are plan couplers then several upgrades. the better couplers are 50 to 80 bucks each.. for the high flow connect under pressure 8000 series. So I could see rebuilding the latter. The former are too cheap to mess with. Problem on the latter is that I usually break off the little needle like part of the female valve.

These are just the plain couplers and I know they aren't terribly expensive when new, just curious if they could be rebuilt. May try the idea of plugging a male fitting in with a plug, I do have a couple extras sitting around... somewhere.
