Decided to build some running boards for my pickup over the last couple days. I asked about 2 step boards last week, but after some trial and error my wife and I decided we didn't need 2. So this is what I ended up with. Please excuse my truck needing a bath. Lol. I posted the complete build on tool talk if your interested in how they got done.

I like the idea of running them back to include some of the cargo area. Pretty handy to reach in for things.

Jon, nice job, my boss has a 2014 F250 Superduty and he needs running boards. I will check it out on tool talk thanks for posting. Greg

Those look VERY expensive, and much better than the ones that came on my '06 What would they cost if you were to produce them for sale? I agree with JMS/MN about the length.

There is a little over $200.00 in material and about
8-10 hours to build them. Of course these being the
first ones, it would be faster to do more.

that extra length is a great idea. seems like whatever I need from the toolbox is in the middle and out of reach.

I would think you would need $650.00. If you did a
bunch and had jigs set up maybe a bit less.

Jon you did a very nice job on them. I really think your talents are not utilized driving a truck. Your a skilled welder and fabricator. There is a lot of demand around here for those skills. The few that do this type of work are always swamped with work.
