stubborn plug

It appears we have water in the fuel tank of the McCormick tractor. It has a plastic fuel tank with a half inch allen head pipe plug on the bottom. I can not get that plug out of there. I'm afraid if I try to much harder that I will round out the allen head. Do I dare put an impact on the wrench? What are my options here? I cannot use heat as it is plastic tank.

Maybe siphon it out and not risk ripping the bung out of the plastic tank?

Then, mebbee re-think fuel handling procedures so it doesn't happen again.

I second the heat gun, then put a valve on it so you can ocasionally drain out a little fuel, that prevents this from happening. Or, buy a JD as they come that way!

It'll sound stupid, but , have you tried TIGHTENING it a few degrees to break it loose!? If you haven't give it a shot. It works by expanding the threads in the female part and breaking the seal.
