Is this a CASE 1070?

A friend of mine sent me this picture today by email.

I responded by asking if that was his tractor - no reply so far.

I believe he owns a CASE 2090 and a CASE 1070.

I have to agree with Dan, that it is an 1175. For some reason someone took the frame side rails off of it, that would have prevented that mishap.

Could that pic be fake? I'm just wondering, because there's no tracks behind it leading up to the "failure" That's all.

I missed the side rails on first look. Why would anyone take off the side rails?

I don't think it came with side rails. I'm pretty sure our 1070 didn't have any. Just looking at the photos on tractor data it looks like they started with side rails at 1370 and bigger.

(quoted from post at 18:18:57 10/06/14) Looks to me like he was backing up.

Yup. If he were going forward, the front wheels should be tucked under the engine, and the grille would be face-down.

Finally got a reply.
Yes, he did now have an 1175.

He was stuck and when trying to pull it out (from the front), pulled the front end off!

I'm sure the air was blue!
