Hello

I am new to this forum and I am scratching my head on where to get a rebuild and or gasket kit for my Ford LGT 14D with the Shibaura E643 engine. The New Holland dealership is WAY to expensive for parts on this old of a tractor as I have found out. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated. This a great compact tractor that I want to keep around for a while. They do not build them like they used to.
 
Well you have a diesel GARDEN tractor. You had better grab the gaskets you need from Ford while they still have them. The parts for a Shibaura motor are not easy to find and are just about always HIGH priced.

There will be many hits on the internet for parts but when you check them out just about all of them are for simple stuff like filters or such.
 
There is a Yahoo group for Ford LGT tractors that has lots of information and leads. Just go to Yahoo and do a search for Ford/Jacobsen groups. Hope this helps
 
I have one of those with low hrs great little tractor but the parts for the engine are pricey and hard to find.There were several gassers built just like it but with the 2 cyl. Kohlers so you could repower if needed.
