Didn't have a good day because of breakdowns. Only
got 4 loads done. Maybe tomorrow will go better. Got
a few pics tho. The corn in the pics is the stuff we
planted on the fourth of July. Didn't turn out too
bad.
The chopper is part of my collection, a case 300.

Stuff seems pretty green yet isn't it? I know when we planted so late we'd almost always have to wait for a frost then let it dry down for another week or so, and it'd still be pretty wet.

I cut a little hay today that I'm custom baling, and a little more that I'm gonna sell. Might get 100 bales, but it's still not too bad for just a few hours labor.

We chopped corn a couple times when it was too dry; kept the water hose running on the silage pile for a few days to help it through the "brewing" stage.

I chopped corn today also.No break downs, but it was slow going. Our corn is as tall as the wagon tops. It is some times more than my old 966 can do , even in the lowest gear/low TA. Our corn is green too, but is needs to be ,going in a pit. Can't get pictures to load from my phone. No frost yet up north here in my corner of Canada. That Case harvester sure does gobble that corn, could you give us a pic of the harvester ,outof the corn. Never seen one before. Bruce

Well, 4 loads isn't all that bad. I used to try to help my neighbors before they sold out and died. One time I was pushing the dump wagon because they were in a muddy field. They dumped a load in the truck and stopped to chat. One brother said to the other "Well, six loads, this is the best day in a long time, time to quit and go home" it was around three and the sun was still high in the sky. I was disappointed.

I got 13. 12 in the silo and one in the front unloader to run out to the cows. That's 22 in the silo so far. I've gotta go to a wedding today,so progress will be slow.

The early planted corn and peas/barley mix are
getting too dry so I'm mixing it. I think the mix
will be good.
