New Holland skid steer

I have a New Holland skid steer with a Kubota V
1902 B engine in it. I am going to rebuild the
engine this winter. I have all the gaskets but
cannot find the rings for it. New Holland wants
135.00 a piston for the rings which is outrageous.
Does anyone have another source to buy rings

Considering the rings are available at all, perhaps you should count your blessings.
Perhaps they will be available more economically from one of the other sources listed but from where I sit I'd probably either just buy them or re-evaluate whether or not it's worth rebuilding anyway.

funny... someone on this forum told me they were unaware that Kubota ever supplied an engine for a new Holland skidsteer, when I mentioned that it had one.

hmmm... guess I was correct?

Ivan,

You can get a whole rebuild kit online for $1200. http://www.kubotapartsdealer.com/overhaul-kit-v1902-std/

that's a good price, just except it. These things aren't cheap to own or fix. I'd pay that money, get it fixed, and then laugh at the guy who just spent $45K on a new ssl.

Have you priced the new ones out? outrageous!!! $27K for a decent base model... wow... just wow...

It's driven up the used price. machines that you could get new for $17K back in the day(late 90's) are selling for $15K or so. Talk about a strong market!

Ivan I am showing that $ 135.00 to be for a NEW piston and rings. Wonder if you just misunderstood the parts guy. Been a Kubota dealer for years and for some reason looks like at least what I am looking at the $ 135.00 is piston and rings. I cannot get the rings separate.
