Not sure which one of you guys in connected with a body shop. I have 2/3 quart of lt wheat paint . Its going on the wheels of a cockshutt plow. Real close to cockshutt cream. I would like to make it a tad more yellow. Hate to buy a qt of cockshutt yellow and would have to order it anyhow. What color can I add to make it more yellow??? I prefer not to think of myself as cheap, just very frugal!!!!

It would probably be cheaper and easier to go ahead and buy a qt. of cockshutt yellow. A wheat color paint has red oxide in it. To counter that you would have to add white and yellow to it in probably 2 to 1 volume to the wheat. You could buy some of the same type paint in these colors and intermix it to achieve the color you want.

A year or two ago I went to local lumber yard and tried to guess what color to add to paint, to make it some different color, I forget exactly what. Just to let youknow, there is no guessing. The gal looked at her charts, and added red and black and I don't know what all, and it came out OK, but I never would have guessed it correctly.

Urethane, acrylic enamel, alkid enamel? Anyway if you want to turn it more yellow you could add a little chrome yellow mixing tint and bring on a yellow tint, but to get a cream you will want a tad of red and a few drops of black. Be careful as the yellow is strong and can be over powering. If you get a little too yellow you can kill it with more black, but there again too much and you will start looking like muddy green.

Bill,
You have it backwards, I'm frugal you are cheap!

How well did your boost work on charging your 14v tractor battery?

No idea what to do to your paint. Many local body shops do their own paint mixing. Try there.

George it works great. I though the batteries were junk. They charge well, I leave on 24 hours at a time , unless I will be close by to monitor the guage on charger. Thinking of having you castrate another charger to have on hand as a couple of well used tractor batteries will not charge with the newer type chargers . When put on the one you took the brains out of the old batteries take enough charge to work as long as needed. This is for the loader tractor which is only used once or twice a month.

You are still cheap. Your brother told me he caught you pinching a penny with plyers. He said you were trying to pinch a nickle out of the penny..
