HI,
I have a 1953 Cat D4 that has one ridge breaker attached. Does anyone here know where I might find one for the left side? That is the left side if you are sitting on the tractor.

thank you

I think those check breakers were custom made by a welding shop. Why not take the one you have to a shop and have one made to match?

Is this equipped with a tool bar dozer, having the dozer blade off, the push arms reversed and tool bar on, with a multi-shank ripper?

Its really hard to help without more information, photos really help LOL !!! I am fairly certain those era, (just bare tractors) were not built with provisions for, roll over protection structures,(R.O.P.S.), and or rear attachments like a 3 pt hitch or a rear mounted ground engaging ripper type attachment. I know they can be modified, but the main casting/housing I don't believe were initially built/engineered to allow the previous, it was accomplished from the track frames, hence the tool bar/dozer from that era, which is a very useful and sought after attachment, even if just the arms and mount to the track frames.

I would agree with Tom A., if it's in fact just missing a shank, then you could have a shop make what you need, or do it yourself. Match what you have, use the appropriate steel, and fabricate it so it has the wear tooth on the bottom, should be an easy build and fit.

What a Great idea!! I have a friend who has a fabrication business and he could probably make it.
The thought never crossed my mind.

Thank you!!!
