Fuel Shut-Off Solenoid Cub Cadet

A customer brought me a Cub Cadet compact tractor Mod. 7300, 3 cyl. diesel. It's got a fuel shut-off problem and I am wondering if that's a appropriate question for this forum.
Thanks,
Alan

OK! What I typically find on large diesel engines is a fuel shut off solenoid that has current supplied by one wire. Either the wire has current when the switch is activated or it doesn't. Simple. If current is present and the switch clicks the system usually works, or replace the solenoid. This solenoid connects to a three wire plug. One wire does have current when the switch is on. There is no click. I do not know the function of the two wires which don't have current, and I don't know if this solenoid is supposed to have an audible click when activated. Any thoughts?

On Case diesels , the fuel sol. has two windings , one strong coil to pull the the plunger in , and another, low current coil to hold it in. Assuming one of your leads is a ground this is probably what you have...

I would agree with three wires to solenoid that one is for hold in winding from switch. Other one is hooked to starting circuit so powered only while starter is engaged and third being common ground for both windings.
