...that even nature seems confused this year? Our Privet hedge is blooming...again. Just like in June. Trees turning color in early August? There is a Robin with a nest full of little ones outside my bedroom window. Add up enough of this stuff and it is a little unsettling. Weird year.

Around here the last week the black birds are bunching up and don't see that normally until later in Oct.

Yes makes one wonder when the well you know is going to hit thee fan be it from a solar storm or earth quack or who knows what but it sure as heck does not seem as it should be

Black birds are gathering and crows are also gathering together. Beans are starting to turn and the corn husk are turning color. People planted what looks like Sudax on flooded out acres and it is turning brown like it had froze. I know it didn't freeze. Some tree leaves are starting to change also.

Black cherry trees losing leaves rapidly, have one that's dropped most off already.

Red winged blackbirds left a month ago.

Some turkeys had a late brood, saw some chick size ones in the last 2-3 weeks, and other young much bigger. Definitely going to bolster the firewood supply.

Here in Texas where this time of year everything is usually dead and brown fields are still green and folks are still cutting hay.

"THE SKY IS FALLING" said Chicken Little!

It may all come crashing down before this afternoon.

Or not.

I'm betting on the "or nots".

Canada geese flew over the house early this morning honking like crazy...wonder what they were telling us??

It would really suck to be too old to care, I hope you are kidding. I don't think the sky is falling. I just think it is some kind of weird weather pattern we are under and I will be glad when it changes. It will change, though.

Well in this part of Texas everything is brown & dead. It's been that way since early July. Hay was done before then, just 1 cut, too dry for anything else. Now we've got cracks in the ground 2-3 feet deep.

My GS apple tree ahd a second bloom in August. I have piked a quart of marble sized apples off in the past two weeks. The first and regular apples are smaller than normal.
