The original subject was "Re: Case David Brown 885 vs. Ford 4000".

BCnT described a 3 point hydraulics problem long ago in this thread ["the only weak thing is the 3 point hydraulics...theres a sleeve that slips inside the control box rendering the hydraulics useless...the fix is simple but will take you a day just to uncover"]. Anyone know how to contact him or can someone describe the steps in his repair?

I have a 1974 DB 885 and it has 3 point problems too.

That seems to be a vague reference to a problem that may not be totally understood by the poster.

First off, what are your symptoms/problems???

There is a basic trouble shooting chart at the David Brown Club site... http://www.dbtc.co.uk/index.php?module=Content&func=view&pid=182

The usual root cause is dirty, water contaminated oil, along with a filter that no one has ever changed.

If the DBTC chart doesn't help you, I am fairly certain that someone else here may have an answer for you.
