Going to Corn Husker Days

A couple of neighbors want me to go with them. Never been there before so how hard will it be on a 70 year old man? Will be there Wednesday only and will we get see or have time to see everything? I can see a lot of walking in store that day. Is there any one on YT going to be there also?

Not sure what day but the boss' dad and I will be there one day. I don't know about golf cart rental, but I think they go fast. They actually have a lot of stuff packed into a relatively small area. Shuttles run between the parking area and the show, and do a loop around the area with the tents and buildings. The roads are all or at least mostly paved.

Been meaning to ask Nebraska Cowman if he'll be there with the antiques again this year.

Lots of opportunity to pick up trinkets. I came home with a small emergency sewing kit one year.

Wear boots and jeans and you can test drive some 4-wheelers. Dodge has been set up there with test-drives the 2 times I've been there, but my old 90 2wd Cummins could run around the track they set up.

Antiques are at the east entrance, along with truck and 4-wheeler drives. But they have a pace bike for you to follow, so you can't test it out in real-world conditions. Like you'd encounter while trying to chase down and turn an angry cow that's he'll-bent on running through 5 strands of barbed wire and won't be happy til it's all on the ground.

I attend this show nearly every year as part of my job but won't this year due to conflicts. My mid-70's year old FIL often goes with me but has to pace himself a lot more due to his knees. Even when walking quickly it is hard to see everything in one day, especially if you watch any of the field demonstrations. When I'm there I have specific things I'm needing to see so plan my route accordingly and rarely walk up and down each "street". There are lots of places a person can sit down to rest; my FIL often listens to some of the talks that go on throughout the day.
